Leaving home lights- how to get them working

I have activated coming home / leaving home lights on my 2010 a3 and they both appear in the settings on the dis, but for leaving home the only option is on/off where as on the coming home it lets me input the time that they can stay on.
The coming home lights work if i flash my full beam before i open the door but my leaving home do nothing when i unlock the car any ideas?​

i havn't changed any wiring and when the coming home lights come on it is the fog lights that do
