Every one I've spoken to about cai on a tdi say don't this includes the guys at awesome gti as it can cause trouble with the maf

Link ? Don`t think you will beat a BMC unit though. What reason do you think you need a CAI as the stock airfilter does a very good job.

I agree, dont touch the standard set up, a good example is that the 170bhp tdi's have the same air box so if its good for the 170 then its plenty good enough for the 140!

its only the older 1.9 130's that benefit from having the 160 ibiza cupra air box fitted.

Ummmmm, I'm not sure, but at £40, the other one needed replacing, as its lifetime, you just clean it yourself! So I don't regret it anyway!
