Hello guys,

It seems that i encounter a slight issue, my car came with an S-Line suspenssion and recently I've bought bilstein B16 PSS10, i would like to know how can i determine the strut size, i know the size can vary between 50mm and 55mm, from what I've seen in etak mine is 54.6. I hope i'm not looking at the wrong picture :).
Any advise is well appreciated.

The 55mm is an approximation. Yours will be the larger diameter (55mm) struts.

Just to be sure ladies & gents, i've a 2008 A3 2.0 TDI 170PS S-Line...will that have the 55mm struts?

sorry to bump this thread old thread, but im looking for the strut size of my 03 2.0 tdi 8p urgently, is it 55mm?

it is either 50mm or 55mm

You can either ring your main dealer and give them your vin number and they can tell you, or have a look at your car and measure yourself

Once again sorry to bump this thread but does anyone know what size the strut is on a 2007 A3 2.0 TDI 170PS S-Line Quattro? Thanks.

Ok, sorry for bumping, it's clear that a 2.0 tdi has the 55mm struts.

But does anyone happen to know what diameter are the struts on a 2004 1.9 TDI?
I don't know how to measure them on my car, and all the dealers have closed for today, but anyway i wouldn't trust them, as i've already had a couple of problems with them..

Rule of thumb is all 2.0s and over regardless of fuel will be 55mm.

Sadly my 2.0 tdi sportback by vin saying 55 mm but I ordered bilstein b6 229872 (55mm) and they don't fit so it's 50mm . Now my options is to change the bilstein b6 229872 to 229865 or change the strut base to 55 mm I guess?
