Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone here have "real world" 0-62mph times for the 2009 models below:
A3 1.8TFSI front wheel drive
A3 2.0TFSI Quattro

I am deciding which one to buy but if I went for the 2.0QTFSI I would be getting one without much options due to cost whereas the 1.8TFSI I could get a few options.

Is there a HUGE difference in acceleration between the 2?
Assuming both situations, non ECU flashed and flashed.

Thanks,
K.

How often are you going to be doing a balls-out, clutch-dumping standing start run in your new car?

0-60 isn't a great measure, but if it's what concerns you most - get a 2.0T or S3 with quattro and an ECU flash. You're looking at sub-6 secs for one of these, around 7 secs for the FWD 2.0T and 8.0 secs for the FWD 1.8T.

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to get an idea on the take off performance. Are these times for DSG or manual? Wonder what a flashed 1.8TFSI will do..
I've got a Clio 172 Ph2 at the moment and thinking about replacing it with a A3 1.8TFSI or A3 2.0QTFSI
