hi got a 2.0 140tdi done around 70k
when i hit mid range of revs where the turbo starts to kick in i get a strange noise like a whiney fiz or rattle
ive been told this could be the dumpvalve would this be correct or is it turbo propblems?
any help would be great thanks

Diesels don`t have dump valves mate.

I had the same problem on my jetta, it was the turbo luckily i had it replaced under warranty
