Has anyone tried one of these to solve the charging problem with ipod docks! im seriously at the end of my tether.. my pod literally lasts one journey and then its battery done (if i forget to take it out and turn it off, which i try to reframe from doin coz my glove box already feels f***ed from open/closing so much)

im on the verge of ordering it, but some reviews on the apple website say it doesnt work with all cars, mainly for reason being the usb that goes into the ipod is just not powerful wnough to charge them, but i have a gen1 nano that charges so i dont think well have this problem..

i use the auid ipod system with my 3gs, you need a charge convertor though. Apple decided to change the charge pin from original iphone to 3gs. The audi ipod system worked perfect with my original iphone and when I got the 3gs it worked but didnt charge so i got one of these and now charges and plays music perfect from my 3gs. http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/firewire-to-usb-converter

Scosche passPORT works fine - no problems at all - belkin do one as well, just as good.
