Hi
I have a 2004 Audi A3 8P chassis with 83k on the clock.
I have the following DTC error:
1 Fault Found:
16785 - EGR System: Insufficient Flow
P0401 - 000 - - - Intermittent
Freeze Frame:
RPM: 1575 /min
Torque: 44.0 Nm
Speed: 55.0 km/h
Load: 10.6 %
Duty Cycle: 14.7 %
Bin. Bits: 11000000
Mass Air / Rev.: 315.0 mg/str
Mass Air / Rev.: 535.0 mg/str
Yesterday, I removed the EGR valve to find it was really thick with carbon therefore I gave it a good clean almost like new and put it back on again. I thought this would fix the problem, however today I have got the above DTC again. Does anyone know what else could be causing this? Or should I replace the EGR valve now as cleaning it didnt work. I have not noticed any permormance issues with the car, could this be a false alarm or faulty wiring somewhere?
Also, can you recommend a good dealer to souce parts from (Apart from Audi..) I've been looking at Euro car parts for an EGR valve for £73. Anyone know any other good sites?
