is there any difference in handling if you change your wheel size i,e from 17s to 18s
and what would you reccomend for a 2004 sportsback size wise many thanks

I would recommend 19"s, which is what I have on my sportback Oyster:

thankyou thats what i was hoping all i got to do is make up my mind which ones
 better get selling oysters who bye:whistle2: my oysters

It wont make any noticeable difference - I have had 19's on my A3 TDI and S3 for 3 years and love them. Never noticed any difference in performance.

You may get a slight decrease in acceleration due to the wheels being a bit heavier the larger you go obviously

But nothing that will make you notice really

As N8 said, 19's on an A3/S3 are perfect, and drop it a little on coilovers/springs ;)

lovely car mate, what you done with the sill mate? is that why your getting the S3 skirts

I just fitted some 19's to mine and the acceleration has suffered a tiny but coupled with the coilover drop it just looks lovely! So i dont mind really.
