the passenger window will not go down when I press the switch, driver side is perfect! possibily water leaked into motor mechanism and frozen?

I've got the same problem.
Do a VCDS scan see what error it comes up with.
My window was stuck open (not fully thank God!).
Had to remove the door trim and manually close it.
In my case it might be a faulty motor, but maybe it is frozen water as you are saying.
