Frozen Door and Air Bag Warning light

Gents,
Thought I may post a thread on this given current climate.

My air bag waring light has come on, the very second after I tried to get the frozen doors open.

Checked around on the net and found that the light can come on if the passenger door gets frozen in lock out mode.

Anyway solution is to un-plug the lead under the seat and re-set with VAG-COM.

No carried the fix out yet, but just wondered if anyone else had this issue recently, and if so did the fix work.

i would just reset it with vcd and see if it comes back on , doubt it will , as paddy said on another thread the cold does trigger some weird and wonderful electric faults, that just need a re set.

if it does come back on then Yes you can try the lead , but i cant see that the weather has effected that , it may just be a coincidence that the lead has been disturbed.
