A3 2.0 170 Tdi Quattro 2006, misfire problems

Hi, has anyone experienced a miss fire/ hesitation on acceleration on revs 2500 upwards with this engine or similar (2.0 tdi 170 bhp)?

I was thinking it maybe duff diesel, however after trying different fuel stations and 6 fill ups the problem is still there, however it can be intermittent and does appear to be more prominent when 1st filling up.

Currently in 5th and 6th gear there is a hesitation/slight wobble when i accelerate from 1500-2000rpm
 
I've got the 170 engine, but mines an s-tronic box. The pullaway can be abit hesitant, but once its moving mines really smooth. I have spoken to an audi technician before about this and he told me that the 170 engine is abit abbrasvie and aggressive by its nature..
