Anyone know how i use my headlamp washers? my xenons are covered in grit and crap off the roads and need a quick blast and I cannot find switch/button/knob/handle or whatever i use!:banghead:

sorry for the thread but tried a search and couldn't find owt!

They work automatically when you do the windscreen washers and the headlamps are on. I'm not sure if they work everytime after the first blast since the lights are turned on or every 5th one like BMWs though.

Thanks probably just not noticing it happen then, will get someone else to do it so I can watch!

looks like your old car was the same as my current one, why did you change?

You need to hold your windscreen washer jets on for 2 or 3 seconds for the headlight washers to activate. This allows you to give the screen a quick squirt without washing the headlights every time, which would otherwise use up your reservoir very quickly

Yeah a big mist appears at the front of the car. I have changed the delay between washing the windscreen and the headlamps on my car as I was getting through washer fluid like nobody's business last winter!
