picked up my new car yesterday, driving home from England to glasgow, I was having a smoke in my car and went to flick the ash but my hand hit the roof lining :banghead:

Theres a wee hole, anyway of repairing this at all? will try and post pictures of it tomorrow.

Unlucky mate, but as they say, smoking is bad for you. Not sure how or if you could repair it, but you'd be looking at £200+ for new roof lining, maybe try a scrap yard?

black marker pen maybe, if not try an interior car repair specialist, they can do most things.

cheers for the reply's guys

It's a cream lining :sadlike:

damn, specialist it is then.

Now would be a good time to stop smoking eh!

My pal did the same sort of thing, lobbed a butt out the window but it blew back in and got wedged between his cost and the seat and burned a hole in his seat and his coat.

I had promised myself not to smoke in the car, but stuck in the snow on the way back home I thought there would be no harm. Absoloutely gutted.

Wait until it rains...getting a wet leg every time you open the window might put you off smoking in the car :drag:

Mine didn't even have an ashtray :banghead:

I did this in my CLK, best of just selling it now!:bye:

Or try the interior specialist! ;)

I'm sure one of the SMART repair specialists will get that looking as good as new for a lot less time and cash than a new roof lining.

Ouch! Another reason to quit smoking!
