    S3 8P Stage 2+ Wheelspin

I have a question for fellow S3 8p owners who have Stage 2+ mods...

As the weather has gotten considerably worse recently, I have noticed a significant increase in the amount of front wheelspin to the point where it is annoying the hell out of me!

Perhaps I need the haldex mod which gives a permanent 50:50 power distribution?

Or maybe you need to take some weight of your right foot and respect the conditions.

Are you talking about from a standstill, or whilst rolling?

I have stage 1 remap, and from a standstill it will spin the fronts for a fraction of a second (and I mean a fraction, maybe a quarter of second), and then depending on how much throttle I've given it, it'll either transfer power to the back and the fronts stop spinning, and we're away. Or the backs will start spinning as well as the fronts.

The fronts will spin more if you're setting off from a standstill and you have the wheel turned though, but still not for long and nothing like a front wheel drive car.

And spinning all four only happens inthe wet or ice/snow, and you have to give it a right boot full, ie be hugely overly agressive with it.

It doesnt spin at all whilst rolling.

Sounds like you have some sort of problem with the haldex. I get zero wheelspin once the car is rolling.

it shouldnt spin at all. i think its down to the tyres iv never heard of a haldex problem, my traction control has had mine cutting the power in 4th in the wet and im 100% its down to the tyres i have f1 asymmetrics on the way even my mates mapped FWD cupra R hardly spins in the wet with those babys on i highly reccomend them !

what tyres are you using buddy ?

    Ibis S3 / GT3076R / 18" TD 1.3s Toyo R888's / H&R ARBs & Monotubes / USP LPFS / Turbosmart Eboost2 / WOT box / 500HP (EST)...and a TDI badge
