As above, it wont stay closed. Anyone had this?
Does the whole unit need replacing or just a spring/ mechanism?

Thankfully im not a smoker, but with it being constantly open is going to annoy me. Is there an Audi parts online site, so i can search for the part and get a part number and price then ordered one up as I cant see one on fleebay.

you can remove the ashtray and replace it with a larger cubby hole, it gives you a larger area under the aircon control.

Oooh.. I just googled and I see, I had that on my S3 8L. Think I will keep it as not that fussed. Just a repair or replacement needed.

Id agree with Khufu.. “just remove the ashtray and replace it with a larger cubby hole”
This is what I have it looks better IMO and good space to put phone/house keys/ wallet just for the journey.

Does the cubby hole have a lid like the ashtray?

If anyone can post up a pic that would be helpful.
