Hello, Just joined the forum, did you ever get a solution to this fault code, I have this (and only this on my 3.2) and clearly it should only apply to diesel!

18025 - Glow Plug Pre-Heat Indicator (K29): Open or Short to Ground
P1617 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - Intermittent - MIL ONe

No is the simple answer " its just a software glitch and has no effect on the running of the car. Mine still shows it sometimes after a coupler of years and it runs fine. I did actually contact Ross tech to see what they thought and it completely baffled them as well.
bottom line is Ignor it i think.
