Hi Guys, I have an Audi 2007 A3 2.0T FSI (3door) with
19" Alloys as well. (Tyre size 225/35/19) - STANDARD SUSPESNSION.
My problem is that If I carry 2 people in the back seat the tyre touches under the wheel arch
over certain bumps etc. I presume this is due to the progressive
nature of the standard springs. I want to put a harder/ lowered
spring which hopefully will sort this problem out. Can somene point me
in the right direction ? I was thinking of a 35 mm drop spring,
Does anyone else with 19" Alloys have this problem?

Thanks Ashal

What is the offset of your alloys ??? that could be the problem especially as you are running 225/35/19 which is one of the better options on 19s

I would highly recommend H&R springs - fantastic on my S3

strange that you are getting rubbing even on standard suspension - as asked, whats your offset?

I'd be concerned the offset is wrong.

Fitting a lower spring, even if stiffer is likely to make the problem worse...

I'm lowered 65mm on 19's with no rubbing whatsoever, but that's down to the perfect wheel fitment. Even with ET45's (8.5J) on before it rubbed constantly.
