    Not really any "best" tyre.

For example, you'll find R888's awesome for grip....in the dry. But they'll last a fraction of the time of say Michelin's.

I'm a big fan of Dunlops, but they're some of the most expensive tyres on the market.

I run Conti's on my A3 and find them a good tyre for the money. But I chewed through a set in 6000 miles on my A4 - I don't think the weight and torque of a diesel does them any favours.

Tip toe? Maybe if he's wearing heels, as he's clearly a big girl.

If your tyres last 30,000 miles on a 250bhp car, then you've got the wrong car

Mines a 2.0 TDi but all the same, I don't tip toe about in it, i just keep the tyres pressures up and they seem to last. It's done 63,5k on it's original disks and pads too

Had Pirelli Rossos on mine when new and they lasted about 14k miles of mainly motorways and A-roads.

Then swapped for Conti Sport3s and they felt noticeably more sure footed. They's lasted over 20K (probably around 24k but I can't find my original receipt) of similar driving.

I've just swapped them for another set of Contis as I was completely happy with the grip and mileage.
