Fan stays on.. tempreture gauge not working???

Hi guys need some help..
Yesterday my a3 started sounding like a jumbo... realising the fan comes on shortley after starting the car and the tempreture needle does not move ??? im assuming its a sensor fault any suggestions ????

Yeah most likely mate. Does it stay on after switching the ignition off too?

When you say the temp gauge doesn't move do you mean after driving for a while too?

yeh thats write switches off after engine has been switched off... and the gauge is not moving even after the car has run...

Yeah pretty much got to be the temp sender mate.
