Audi wheel and tyre protection

Has anyone used this to claim?

Was given this free when I bought my Cabrio. 4 days later I backed up over a stanley blade which had been left the in the road, cut a nice straight 1 to 1.5 inch line in between and a across my tread!

Called them up next day and had a new tired fitted about 1.5 hours later. I think the service covers up to approx £180 per tire.

Wow good service then by the sounds of it? Did they Use a local tyre firm?

My service plan, 21 per month, covers tyres.

I thought my front had worn so I phoned Audi Finance that arranged for me to go to a local tyre firm to have them checked.

The firm took depth reading on all the tyres. The most worn one had 4mm depth left. They said Audi probably wont change it, do to the fact that the tyres having so much tread left. They phoned up Audi finance to check. Audi said they had to change all the tyres on the car, even if only one is down to 4mm due to the 4 wheel drive system.

That would have cost me over £600.

So £21 a month is a bargain.

Never heard of such insurance, this is available through Audi finance?

Yeah I got it when I bought mine just wondering what people thougt of it?

sounds like a good idea from the example above but with out reading the T&C's i couldn't comment.

Seeing it also covers all servicing of the car for three years I don't think you can go wrong.


I haven't got finance on the car but it administrated through Audi Finance.
