This must be the ultimate car really, i work in the motor trade but we havent had one of these in yet.

A bit ago I had a Golf GT TDi 170 as my demo, it was quick, but just could not get any traction in the wet. So that power combined with the Quattro system must be spot on.

But......how do they differ visually to the TDi Quattro 140?!

Id be interested to hear from anyone who owns one or had driven or used one!

Cheers!

They dont differ visually in any way.........apart from they have chrome exhaust trims, the 140's dont!

But people put the trims on the 140's (like me) so unless you check the data sticker you wont know!

I have a 170 Quattro Black Edition and had a 140 Golf before it.

The quattro makes a big difference, especially at roundabouts and junctions.

Would like to get it mapped but need to be careful as the car is a company car and leased....

Would be glad to hear from anyone who has mapped one:icon_thumright:

Ahh cheers, yeah this is what I thought.

Lucky man, what does the black edition have different then?

The 170 came out at the end of 06, around September IIRC. Any 56 plate or newer diesel A3 Quattro will be the 170 as I'm pretty sure it's the only one they put Quattro on.
