Phone kit removal

hi all

just picked up my 56 plate A3 sport which has a blackburry phone kit attatched via a bracket which a want to remove for i dont like or indeed want in the car. as far as i can see the bracket is attached behind the heater controls under the stereo. i can get the stereo out no problem but am stuck with the heater controls. Can anyone give me any advice on how this bit comes out so i can remove the said bracket

depending on what din you have but same method applies. Remove HU and simply force out the climate control. so you would pull from the top of the climate downwards. easily comes out and pops back in with some force. If its the double DIN you need to remove the hazzard warning light trim so you can get to the climate control. The holder will be screwed onto the dashboard. Did this to mine which had a crappy nokia holder. Now Ive put in a iphone holder
