URGENT! will mk5 r32 seats fit into the audi a3??

may have a small window very soon to buy some cheap

they are 5 door seats so no reclining but i dont really care haha

soooo

does anyone know if the 5door front two r32 mk5 seat will fit into my 2004 audi a3??

any quick help would be great

I'm pretty sure they will, the rears wont though. Are they buckets? The standard R32 seats are cloth!!!

so should i risk it a get them?

some1 said the a3's are on the same platform as the mk4 golf with seats

but if they are 5 door and yours is a 3 door then you won't ever be able to get into the rear ?

im not that bothered really, i had the whole back of my car striped not long ago and i might go back to that

2 bucket seats, steering wheel bit of the dash and thats all i need

incorrect, mk5 golf = A3 8P

mk4 golf = A3 8L old shape

They arent mk4 buckets are they because they wont fit! mk5 buckets are just as rare as S3 ones because they were silly money aswell.


and yes even if they do fit, your car will be a 2 seater!

I thought that too till i re read the title as it says MK5 up there.

Yeah but not as much as the standard seats, biggest problem is the slide, but i reckon you can pull them forward using the front seat adjuster of you really needed to squeeze someone in!
 
i'm not 100% sure but i would check to see if its an MOT failure, if it has rear seats and you can use them, ie they are there and have the seat belts there I would assume that in the case of an emergency you would have to tip them forward ?? not 100% sure so could be totaly wrong.
