Hi folks, I am having trouble with my Audi sat-nav system, every now and again the screen will show that it cannot read the dvd disc that is inserted and controls the navigation system .I have tried cleaning the disc but still having the same problem.
Has anyone had the same problem and if so what are the solutions.
Audi A3 Sportsback 2l TDI 2005.Many Thanks john.:blackrs4:

are you talking about the rns-e satnav, if so, is your disc a genuine one ? have you tried someone elses ? if not its the lazer

Hi yes it is the rns-e satnav and the disc a genuine one . Looks like the lazer !
Any idea if you can get the system reconditioned or repaired ?

where in the world are you? I got my rns-e from a outfit in Leicester whereby the unit I bought off them was apparently refurbed. You could try calling them to get an idea. They apparently work with a lot of dealers...

Hi KKp0897 I am in Scotland, however I will give the uvworldwide a call, Many thanks John.

Its the laser or the drive itself, drive is a doddle to remove & replace, laser is a bitch of a job to do tbh, give old Haaggie a shout over on www.audiforum.us & he can help with parts & advice.
