Had an intermittent fault for a couple of weeks now but it would seem the light has finally given up the ghost and died. I've tried swapping out the bulbs and fuses. Anyone have any quick and simple solutions I could try or any idea as to what it may be if you've had the sam problem or even if you know where I can maybe get a new wire set and have a go myself. Any help appreciated. The car is 2006 a3 tdi 2.0.

i seem to get this if i flick on the headlights too quickly ??!! then i have to turn em off and put on side lights and then turn em on slowly, although i do have hid conversion but it only ever says left headlamp now and again doesnt happen all the time!
Tried all possible combinations, switch on slowly, switch on with main beam on, flick quickly to all on, fog lights on and no joy, dead as a dodo.
Theyre the standard headlights, not xenon or any after market type, just the normal old fashioned headlight type.
