Leather Cleaner - Wrinkled Leather - Grrrrr!

I've only covered 6000 miles in my S3 - and already the front seats (not bucket) are looking a little tired! I've used Mcguiars Gold class? on them a couple of times, but in all honesty do you think this is having a positive effect? What would be the best way to keep the seats looking fresh! other than not sitting in them? I've had a look at some of the photo's of members leather seats and most if not all look almost glossy but new looking - what am I doing wrong - it's doing my head in!!!!

Cheers Boydie - Dont suppose I can get hold of Gliptone via local Halfords or would it be interweb jobbie?
 
Either as above OR use liquid leather! Ace stuff, conditions your leather and leaves a nice leather smell ;o)
 
what do you guys use to clean and apply the gliptone or raceglaze to your seats? going to order some today!
 
I use this stuff on mine - it's a million times better than Gliptone (for cleaning purposes)...

I'd guess that I've had my bottle now for almost 2 years, and I'm just reaching the end off it....and that's using it on Silver coloured leather !

Hmmm...one question though - in your title, you've put "Wrinkled Leather", so are you actually asking about how to keep the leather clean, or wrinkle free ?

Be interesting to see some pics, to see whether the wear looks typical? I had an E30 Cabriolet with grey leather that looked creased but otherwise mint after 130,000 miles. Leather does wear though unfortunately... but 6000 miles isn't much!

Only messing, I need mine doing in the new year - the pain was swirled to **** when I bought it - a local guy did a machine polish that helped, but he wasn't great... I just hope he's left enough paint!
 
It never ceases to amaze me how these threads about wrinkled leather keep popping up. Thats what leather does !! Its skin..it wrinkles, look at any leather chair, sofa ,shoes or cow !... it wrinkles !!!

Makes you wonder whether people who smoke in their cars are more likely to develop 'bad leather wrinkles' too :think:

("it does also depend on what part of the cow the leather has been cut from too" - a quote from a leather specialist...not me btw)
 
Once your seats stop mooing they cease to be elastic :yes: expecially the bit of a bull they use for gearstick gaiters...
