Picked up my new S3 today ! :)

It has the factory ipod dock in the glovebox but the interface is for the smaller ipod's ie nano.

It didnt come with any other interfaces to allow me to fit my ipod classic.

Anybody purchased one of these from audi and know the cost ??

cheers

When I collected my new Sportback in April they was a plastic bag in the boot area with inserts to suit several different sizes of iPod. This is what is normally supplied with a new car. The part no on the plastic bag of bits is 8P0 868 003 6PS.

It consists on a narrow slot unit for a 2nd generation nano and I have a 3rd generation nano and the slot for that is in the unit in the car. The are also three flat plastic pieces approx 60x50mm with the numbers 8, 12 and 13 on them which seems to relate to the thickness, plus four smaller pieces with a raised section with the numbers 1,3,4 and 7.

The nano interface unit on mine pulls out from the basic interface which would probably then allow for a Classic to be used with one of the spacers.
