How long do your car use choke?

My car only seems to be on choke for about 15 seconds before the revs drop and the car idles at normal warm revs?

Is this normal? i would have thought it should stay on choke (rev higher) until the engine is at least a little warm?

As long as it doesn't stall or run badly once off choke your ok.

Mine goes off after say 10 seconds.
