A3 Door Paint/Film Problem

I have an A3 2.0tdi s-line. I noticed a problem on the passenger door the other day. It is on the door frame where there is damage, it is not the paint but rather like a film. It has started to bubble off and looks quite bad underneath. Does anyone know how to get this fixed, if it can be done yourself or how much it would cost?

I had a lacquer peeling problem on my drivers door (twice) - Audi did it under warranty for me - whole door was resprayed as far as I can tell...

Yeah if its lacquer problem then your covered under warranty by Audi.

Dont let them tell you its due to a stone chip or something though if its not. They tried that one with me.
