    H&R Springs fitted!!

Finally finished fitting the H&R springs to the car earlier and took it for a test drive to make sure everything was ok. Have to say they really sharpen the car up and the ride quality on normal roads seems to be as good as it was before if not slightly better over bad bumps, ever so slightly stiffer but very comfortable. Roll and dive has decreased considerably and the car looks a lot better as a result of the reduction in ride height. First time fitting springs to an A3 so took my time to make sure I didnt make any mistakes, took me about 4 hours in total which is a lot but at least I know it's done right. The rears only took 5 mins a side and were very easy, After putting the car on axle stands I put a trolly jack under the trailing arm/wishbone, undid the bolt and slowly lowered the arm until the spring could be removed. On the front I undid the bottom ball joint bolts, the drive shaft bolt, steering arm ball joint, drop link, brake caliper bolts and the three top mount bolts and removed the strut/hub assembly complete, then just spring clamps on the spring, new spring in and reverse the process! In hindsight I could now do it a lot faster so hopefully this info will help out anyone looking to do it themselves
