whats the difference in the face-lift rear lights?

could somebody please post a pic of pre-facelift and facelift rear lights.
i cant see what is different.

Think you might have to be a bit anal to spot that :huh: it took me 3 looks to see they were even different as i wasn't expecting it !!!!:yes:

When they're unlit, the difference is not so blindingy obvious...

But once they're lit up... you'd have to be blind not to be impressed with the 2009+ tail lights... specially on the sportback!

I think the facelift lights look slightly darker red too. Much prefer them as the indicator (white) bit is much smaller and makes lighter coloured cars look lower from the rear.

Does the 3-door facelift have the LED rear lights as well?

The Sportback's rear lights are pretty striking at night as the LED light is beaded around the whole of the rear light cluster.
 
They don't have LEDs on the 3dr no. The original lights have a clear piece of glass in a rectangle shape so the light shines more through it. The 8P3s have a dedicated lens. Have a look at the close up pictures in the thread from the stickies and you should see what I mean.
