Noticed this yesterday and sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesnt...

When I'm doing 30mph or under and stick it in 5th and put my foot down (obviously not having enough revs to go anywhere) I can here a rattling like a baby's rattle.

First time this happened (because I meant to put it in 3rd, but hit 5th by accident) it didn't bother me as I knew I didn't have enough rev's so thought it might have just been that, but I did it again (on purpose) and then it didn't do it?

Thanks :)

Could be anything but its telling you to change gear !! Once you try and pull when the engine cant manage it your going to get backlash in just about everything that has a tolerance from chains/belts/valves/cams etc..even big ends and little ends !!

You put your foot down, pour in fuel that dosnt all burn so it pops in the pipe. It also raises the compresion ratio which can break down oil films on little ends as the loading increases. In short, dont do it..
