8P3 coin drawer / part number

Would also be very interested in this "easy" mod.

Card trays with illumination go for around 20pounds on eBay, quite a lot for just a missing led

Any ideas welcome
 
on the older 2005- 2008 cup holder there is no led in the front of the door , the led is underneath the mechanism with a little window that allows the light through

i have pics of the bottom of the tray and surround with the led attached , but cant seem to get the links to work when trying to attach the images

pity you cant just upload images to the thread directly from your pc

Pics would be nice mate, also a part no if possible of the led unit, not sure if its sold separate. You can upload pics to imageshack mate.
 
for the part number there isnt one on the led holder a mod could easily be done for this assuming the little window is on all the card drawers . an led ,small amount of wire and a cover with a cut out in .ie bic pen lid cut down to cover led ?

Any chance of a pic of the led mate? gona make my own but want it it be as close to the original led as possible so that the light given out is the same colour? Thanks
 
Tried doing this mod with a standard 3mm red led today and all I got was smoke :( Does a resistor need to be installed? Any help appreciated.
