Where to buy, and which cable is right? I'm guessing Micro-CAN?

(Main car as in sig, might be used on missus car, '04 A3 SE)
 
Gendan are currently doing Micro-can VCDS for £199 (inc. VAT inc. Deliv.) No time to get into all that cheque/postal order stuff really.

Can also vouch for NHN on here. He is a reseller and u will get top service and as far as I'm aware he is the cheapest
 
What's the difference between the HEX-CAN cable and the cheaper MICRO-CAN cable???

I read somewhere that's the HEX does pretty much all VAG cars, and the MICRO does only new'ish ones?!?!? I take it that includes all 8P's, no matter their age???

Does NHN supply the micro's too??
 
its the other way around, hex-can does all the models from 1996 through to present day. Its the micro-can that only does the newer canbus cars so it wont work on older VAG vehicles that just use the k-line only.
