what does service in 4000 MI mean?

Hey guys, got a "Service in 4000 MI, 6 days" can anyone tell me what that means? Service due in 4000 more miles or service due in 6 days? am a little confused over that message. Thanks guys

whichever comes first I'm guessing - so 6 days.

4000 miles 6 days mine said something like that then just popped to service when it should of still had a week left ??? i think its like an estimate mine needs a service im about to get it done then they reset the dis .....
