Hey guys,

Just bought an S3 from Audi Manchester.

2009, Ibis White, DSG, ARP, DVD Sat Nav, Bose, Security Tints, Black Styling Pack, iPod Connection & Bluetooth. Its got all black full leather and piano black interior. Just want little tips, how to drive it (not literally), Which gas to use etc. Also, I'm looking to get it remapped, where is the best place? I heard they go to 310BHP? Also looking for wheels, is this advisable? Also could anyone post up pics of their White S3s?

Regards

Marc

Hi Mate, you are in the wrong S3 forum, you have an 8P, this is for the 8L model.

If you ask the question, you will surely get plenty of responses from there.

Oh and good luck with the car :)

Right I've moved you into the right place mate.

Congrats on the new car and welcome to the forum.

There are some great threads on here regarding S3 tuning. You can use the search facility at the top, go advanced, select only the 8P forum, type s3 remap or words to that effect and then start reading!

The most popular remaps currently are APR, GIAC and Revo (I think), Cold Air Intakes Forge or Evoms, and pretty much everyone gets a Miltek exhaust.

Also check out the FAQs thread in the stickies for some more useful threads.

you will be looking at a fair bit of money but in the end, well worth it.

decent induction kit, evoms (http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/tfsiinduction.htm), dbilas (http://www.dbilas.com/dbilas_eng/index.htm) or carbonio (http://goapr.com/products/intake_carbonio_20tfsi.html) for a bit of style under the bonnet. milltek full exhaust and down pipe, uprated fuel pump (http://goapr.com/products/fsi_fuel_pump.html) and then a remap, that should see you at around 330bhp+ there is more you can do such as new uprated k04 turbo (http://goapr.com/products/stage3_trans20t.html), new and bigger intercooler (http://goapr.com/products/intercooler_20tfsi.html), all new samco pipes as they can buckle under the immense pressure, forge diverter valve

the list is never ending!!!!!

Charlie that looks mint mate, those rims are stunning against the Ibis. I like alot! :o.k:

Is the ITG filter a stock replacement, or like a CAI? I want to try and preserve OE under the bonnet. Thanks.

@ Jeffreys - Nice car and great spec. What does the ARP stand for?

the ITG is a replacement panel filter so retains the engine cover

Here's a link to ITG filters mate,Merlin are the UK distributor for them.

As nobody's mentioned fuel yet, don't bother with 95 RON,always go for the higher octane 98 or more, your car will appreciate it.

A lot of us on here use Shell V-Power (99RON) Ok,it's a few pence more, but worth the extra in performance,it'll keep your valves and injectors cleaner too.

sounds nice mate

it all depends what your going for with your car, are you after show performance and loud exhaust/intake or retaining the OEM look with a bit of power ?

i went full hog and got a non res milltek and loud filter with stage 2+ Revo map and never looked back lo, but you may wanna go subtle altho id seriously advise Revo map, very boosty and fun ;)

ARP is Assisted Rear Parking. That car is really nice, I think im gonna stay with standard wheels and go have them painted or powder coated, whichever is better. Ima have the audi sign white also!! Im not lookin to do much other work, jus mayeb an exhaust remap and maybe samcos. Love the car, got the DRL lights too standard which are nice!
