Hi, has anyone had any experience with good wheel refurbishers/repairers where you really couldn't tell afterwards?

I'm quite precious about my wheels - and after 2.5 years i have managed to not kerb them or damage them once, however i have just now discovered a pretty nasty stone chip right in the middle of my back wheel! damn.

Any suggestions? Would prefer to use someone recommended as opposed to any tom **** or harry, cheers

I've read a couple of reports in the Audi Driver magazine where they have had work done by Pristine Wheels in Milton Keynes. They have been very pleased with the results. Thier website is http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/

Spit n Polish kent way are good.

bit far to go really - im in manchester.

ideally i think id be happier just buying a brand new original unmolested wheel (not keen/trusting of repairs)

So question is if there is anywhere where i can get a single brand new wheel from at less than the full audi price of £235+vat

I've looked on ebay - just manky old second hand ones described as 'good condition' - yeh right!

Any ideas?

Or other option is get the lot repainted properly (tyre off inside and out the lot) perhaps change of colour, same as car maybe would that look ok? My car is dolphin grey, or i quite like that darker silver you get on some wheels nowadays - is it platinum or something (not quite sure what the name is) or another option is get them chrome plated but that might be a big bling looking and probably expensive so not really that sure about this option.

You should deffo try the wheel specialist. They do the complete alloy, remove the old paint and laquer and redo them completely. I have had 2 sets done in the past and can not fault their work. I kno the Leeds one very well. They are also very well priced!
