i have been searching the forum with no luck so be easy on me. I fitted a fbmfsw yesterday and i need the vag codes to make the mf work. And I also need the codes for the facelift tail lights
Thanks

I am going to my local audi specialist who has vag com tomorrow so I am hoping he will sort it. Thanks

the local garage could not do it. Did not have vag com it had a cheap diagnostic reader which could not change anything. So is anybody with vag com in the lincs area willing to help me or as my car is going for a service at Lincoln Audi next week, would the stealers do it for me. Would they frown on me for doing these jobs myself and refuse to do anything about it?

I got Ipswich to do mine for me while it was in for a fault code thrown up by turning of the traction control

Just dropped the car off at Lincoln and asked them to sort it out, so hopefully they will. Gave me a bogstandard 1.9TD manual as a courtesy car, can't wait to get my car back.

A good enough reason to buy genuine vcds then.

where is the best and cheapest place to buy one from? the mechanic at the garage I took it to first is interested in one.

Me if you want genuine that is.

Just returned from lincoln and they have sorted out the steering wheel and when they checked the rear light units they have put on the report sheet that it is working correctly. So am I right in saying you need vag com to adjust the settings. If yes what are the settings.
They also fitted a black grille and surround for me and when I got home and checked it they didn't even tighten the top 3 torx screws, So I won't be using them again. I'll think I would rather go to the local audi specialist.
If anyone has got vag com and is fairly local can you help me please.
