Any ideas how this can be done, ive checked the manual but it only mentions voice saved contacts and not ones the bluetooth module has sucked from the phone.

if you use voice control and say help she will tell you. There is a command to delete the phonebook 'Delete Phonebook' i think it is

When you get in the car again and the phone reconnects it takes a few minutes for the car to sync the phonebook with your phone. It does work though.
I had this where I changed a number on my phone but the car still had the old number. The next time I got in it synced and changed it.
