Hi all

This has probably been done before, but I thought it might be cool for everyone to share their previous car(s)?

I had a 2001 Celica VVTL-i. 190 bhp V-Tech derrived engine, multi link suspension, cat back ss exhaust. I lovde it, probably more than my A3 it has to be said.

Here is a link to some pics of it.

So what did you all have?

I loved my Mkiv .:R32, still love them when I see one, and loved my S3 too.

Driving the RS4 does help alittle with living with the loss :hi:

I had a 2005 Lotus Elise 111s. No other car came close for handling.

Once my wedding is out of the way next March then it's a Lotus Exige S. The Audi is my stop gap for a years sensible motoring. Still a great car though.

Probably my two favourite cars, apart from my current A3 were my first A3 1.8T Sport and my Golf 2.8 VR6.

Highlights - My TVR cerbera was great for straight line speed and noise, my honda s2000 was the best overall car I have ever owned, my elise had the best steering feel, my caterham 7 (still got it) is best on a track (but worst on road) of all the cars I've owned. Civic Type R (still got it) has great turn in for a front wheel drive car, and is good fun.

Lowlights - My fiat coupe 20v turbo was crap.

Other cars I've had arent worth a mention, they were just a mode of transport (my current s3 included)

My fave was my Turbo new beetle. Probably becasue all the girls thought it was cute back in the day when impressing girls was paramount! Also I went to a lot of shows with it, the owners club was great, we seemed to meet up every other weekend during the summer! Not the best "car" but the best ownership experience for sure. Loved every minute of owning it!

Which is what matters most IMO.

Why did you change to an A3?

It did 40mpg, after it was chipped it got worse, once the race cat and milltek were on it went down to about 20mpg and i couldnt help but thrash it everywhere!!! It was costing me silly money and with petrol at £1.30 a litre it was killing me, soon as I buy the A3 the price of fuel falls!

Also the boot was useless on it, stupidly shaped and impractical.

Jeeeeeeez some of the cars mentioned in this thread haha

Ive only had 2 previous cars to my a3..

First car was a 1.2 corsa sxi, loved that car, lot of custom work done to it by my dad and i, but nothing over the top or chavvy..

Second car was a 2.7 v6 hyundai coupe, had this for 5 months while i was living in new york, decent car, enjoyed it a lot

Now i have an a3, standard at the moment but when funds loosen up bits and bobs will get sorted :)

Simlar reasons as why I changed the celica. Guildfor to pompy and back every day was costing me 120 quid a week on petrol, and I only worked 4 days!

Voohers, that looks rather tidy:icon_thumright:

here's my first baby!

had it from brand new when i was 17, was my first car, sold it after 7-8yrs of ownership to make way for the A3.

Polo 1.4 16v

Dragon Green MK4 Polo 1.4 16v. So much fun =)

I spot a bonnet vent, headlight washers, glass headlights, normal wheels..........it couldnt be surely? A UK spec Supra! no nasty bodykit! Yay!

A UK spec indeed, larger injectors and brakes, steel turbines and no restrictor ring, yada yada.

Absolute missile.

My S4 :-( 1 year on, and i still miss it.

Loving the Supra, dont think ive seen one in a while that hasnt been kitted out to **** lol! OEM everytime for the RZ's, most Veilside style kits look horrendous.

Cheers bro, she was sold the same time I split up with my ex, and I was over her in no time, the S4 however!! Couldnt beat parking it in the garage after a spirited run out, and the Milltek booming off the walls lol!

I've only had three cars, only passed last year January the 10th:)
But since then had:
52 plate 1.0 Active Black Corsa
54 plate 1.6 SE Lava Grey Audi A3
56 plate 2.0T fsi S-Line Akoya Silver Audi A3

Best would of obviously be 2.0tfsi Great car and always left a smile on my face:respekt: and i loved s-tronic

My civic type R.. i loved that car,

its characture (something my new a3 is missing!) its fuel economy, reliablility and that fact that it went like s*** when you wanted it to.

had to sell it to get the a3 for the wife to use in her new job.

My 1st car - Polo GT coupe with a few mods pushing 100bhp! loved it haha

Ah... this old chestnut! Here goes:
1. 1986 'D' Reg Fiesta 1.4S
2. 1992 'J' Reg Clio 1.4RT
3. 1997 'P' Reg Clio 1.8 RSI
4. 2002 '02' Reg Honda Civic Type R
5. 2005 '05' Citroen C2 VTS (please don't judge me - I needed a cheap car to save for flat!!)
6. 2003 '53' Reg Honda Integra Type R
Currently - 2007 '07' Golf GTI Edition 30 - but as shown below, some c0ck ran into the back of me and wrote it off on Friday 13th March a few weeks ago. Just waiting for an insurance settlement before I go order myself an '09 or '59 Audi S3 - depending how long it takes?!!

Poor Golf...

I was fortunate enough to own a yellow Renault 5 GT Turbo & an AX GT at the same time. Boy they were great fun, esp the R5 :) that was scary sometimes, very scary. The AX was such a rocket, tinny box of love (the twin choke one, not the injection one)

Thinking about recent ones, i miss my Mk5 R32, i did 28000 miles in in just over a year, and really loved every minute of it. They are sooo cheapt at the minute... may buy another as a second car...
