Picked up the storm trooper on Saturday and checked all the tyre pressures yesterday which were all over the place !

(Pics will be posted tomorrow as memory card full so need to do some organising)

Looking in the manual and on the door sticker it indicates 45psi front and 39 rear, I was surprised at how high this is, the car is fitted with the standard 18" S alloys and michelin pilots.

What pressures are you guy using for 'normal' loading.

Cheers Spin

On my S3 3rd the level on the fuel cap says 39psi front and 30psi rear for 225/40 R18 XL and that is the one I use.

There is also 3 other tyre pressures for Mud and Snow tyres with heavy load ranging up to 46psi front and 46psi rear.

I would go for the lowest recommended pressure unless you know you have Mud and Snow tyres.

Hope this helps.

on 225s i was told 30 psi all round lol seems fine

How confusing, I did think 45 front was excessive, now reduced to 39 and 30 and will see how I get on.

Anyone noticed the Michelin Pilots seem to be a fairly noisy tyre ?

I have bridgestones and they sound like a spitfire!!

It's trial and error and personal preference with the pressures. I tried a few combinations but 38-34 give a good balance of grip and ride. For me anyway!

They do seem high. Even my 3 door is 38 front which I thought was quite high.
