Alright gents...

Due to a very annoying incident i have some quite bad scuffs on the offside brushed aluminium door trim.
Have any of you guys ever tried touching up the aluminium trim? How did you do it? What did you use?
I've considered using wet and dry sand paper (or any VERY fine grade stuff), wrapping it around a sanding block and going over the whole lot again. By lining the trim up against a wall and using the block to guide it i'm hoping i'd get good straight brush lines. Bit scary though!!
Obviously i could get a brush piece for the electric drill but getting long straight lines would be almost impossible.

I'm also thinking of fine sanding as above but then using metal polish to give a satin sheen to match the rest of the interior metal bits.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated!

P.S. I have my piano black trims for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested. They are mint other than one scuff which will polish out. Feel free to PM me with an offer.

Cheers.

Paul.
