How Many Amps is my Alternator?

Hi guys.

Currently doing a ICE install in my car and just wanted to know what the amp on the alternator was?

Sticking another battery in the boot to power the amps..

Cars a 2004 2.0 TDI DSG with BKD engine.

i think its usually on a sticker or a plate on the alternator.

You can also find out the amps by the vin number.

A quick search on Ekta will tell you what is fitted.

Thanks for the info guys - I'll take a look at the alt in the morning!

But if anyone has ETKA and would check, I'd really appreciate it and could PM you the vin to make it easier!

You helped me out a million and saved me some cash.

It's 140A and i was going to upgrade to 150A but dont see the point now!

But could you do me one favour and please remove the last image - it has all my car details on it
