My local dealer is asking me to pay for the S3 mirror covers and pedals I ordered to go on the new A3.

They've just passed me a screen print of the parts, but it's clearly missing something (probably the S3 pedals).

Would someone be kind enough to confirm what parts these numbers refer to:

W8T0 857 527 A3 Q7
W8T0 857 528 A3 Q7

W1K0 721 131 4J 4
W1K2 721 601 4J 4

Ok ..... update!

I've just had this email from the dealer:

The brushed aluminium( polished metal) pedal covers are £6.52 for the brake pedal, and £9.45 for the clutch pedal. There isn’t any listed for the accel pedal. I’ve looked on the online audi system and they don’t list a kit that would do all 3 pedals.

For a start I expect the pedals/pedal covers to be much more than that! I want proper S3 pedals not some cheap bolt-ons.

And what's this about there not being a part for the accelerator??

Could someone who knows that this guy's talking rubbish provide me with the codes I need for the full S3 pedal set please?

Pedals (identically constructed with gulf 5 GTI)
  • 1K1 721,503 N >> accelerotor pedal transmission >> 61,02€
  • 1K0 721,131 4J4 >> cap brake pedal >> 7,48€
  • 1K1 721,601 4J4 >> cap clutch pedal >> 7,48€
Mirror caps (identically constructed with S4)
  • 8E0 857,507 C 3Q7 >> aluminum (left) >> S3 >> 179,22€
  • 8E0 857,508 C 3Q7 >> aluminum (right) >> S3 >> 179,22€
 
It'll point them in the right direction! If you tell em it's off a Golf (the 1K1 bit) they just need to check it's the chrome version. Bobs your uncle!
 
From my parts "specialist" at Jacksons in Guernsey:


Right I've jus been speaking with audi and they don't do a kit or an individual part which has a metal accel pedal for your vehicle. The part number you gave me this morning doesn't exist, I did look through some golfs but it doesn't say anything about them being metal, and as there electronic pedals I don't think they would be suitable as of different specs. So the only ones you would be able to get from audi would be the brake and clutch pedal covers which I priced for you.

Yes it is available to order all im saying is I don't know what one it would be because of the pr codes as you can see on your attatched pic(e.g VF1 etc) stands for different spec cars but if your sure that the highlighted part is going to be the correct one I'll order it for you but if its wrong I wont take it back as you supplied the part number.

I'm looking for a set of these aswell.

The original part number for the accelerator pedal was stated as
1K1 721 503 N in the thread below whereas the part shown on etka appears to be 1k2 721 503L.

I have also tried looking for the brake pedal in alu but it doesn't appear to be listed in etka (I'm probably looking in the wrong place!).

The clutch pedal in etka appears to be listed as 1K2 721 601 4J4 , (the 1K1 quoted below seems to apply to left hand drive?).

I phoned VW dealer and the cost for the accelerator pedal was £76.26, brake and clurch 'cap' was £6.52. + VAT on top. He was prepared to give me 5% discount.

This is what Stoke Audi e-mailed me on this forum (no part numbers given) :-

Edit - from my novice look at etka, the part numbers you have quoted appear to be the same as the ones I've found

exactly I agree, thats why I keep putting it off.

You have to have genuine though, otherwise the aftermarket ones look a bit tacky (IMHO).

Ordered mine from Dave this morning and picking up tomorrow.

Well, picked up the aluminium pedal and caps as above.

Fitted in less than 20 mins. Really pleased.:yahoo:

Stoke Audi is a massive dealership, never seen so many R8's.

I know there only pedals buy I just took a picture of them, the footwell lights (which I retrofitted with the help off RobinA3) just sets them off.

Could just do with the foot rest to match, but apparently there is not one listed. I think Nigel was looking at something off a Phaeton. Would be interesting to see if anything can be found
