Tuned 400bhp S3 in EVO Magazine

Just received my new issue of EVO this morning and there's a tuned hot hatch section on page 77 to 81.

There is:

Focus ST - 327 bhp
Golf GTi - 407 bhp
Astra VXR - 420bhp
S3 - 400bhp

Some of you may find it interesting as it compares performance figures with acceleration times and in gear times.

That'll be Veilside tunings car - it's a similar spec as JonnyC's old S3

This the stuff we want to know about.
Not what the new 4 seater Maserati feels like on a track, in some exotic location....."

420bhp VXR! Can Burberry Caps go that fast?

Yeah - thought I'd guess he didn't have it on for these tests..... I may be wrong though

The S3, VXR and GTi are joint efforts by Regal Autosport, Veil Tuning and Autograph Cars. The ST is by Morego http://www.morego.co.uk/product_details.php?id=8041.

The ST has some pretty impressive in gear times despite it being the 'lowest' powered there.

The article also says the nitrous wasn't connected for the tests.
