RNS-E IPOD ADAPTER HELP

just got an original ipod adapter for the rns-e (8E0051444A) tryed to install it this afternoon but had no luck. the instructions make no sense to me and have no idea how to set it up.
anyone installed one on their rns-e any tips?
any kind of help much appreciated

It plugs into the CD changer port in the loom, or replaces your existing CD changer if you have one. If you have an 07 car or later then it should plug into the quadlock, if it's an earlier car you should have mini ISO plugs to deal with. It's very simple to operate, pressing CD number 1 to 5 on the headunit gives you the first 5 alphabetical playlist, CD6 gives you every track on your iPod.

You've got the wrong kit. You need 8E0051444B for Quadlock Connector Radios.

If it has a 'flying' ground lead these normally have to be connected to the radio chassis too.

quick question as im trying to fit my ipod kit, how did you guys remove the brown coloured wire from the original quadlock adapter so that you can replace it with the brown fly lead that is on the ipod cable as i cant seem to be able to remove mine
