door pillar flaking...

The lacquer/film (?) on the external passenger door pillar is flaking off - does anyone know what it is, is it easy/possible to replace it or is it a body shop job?

I know some cars that have a kind of sticker over these sections (Some mercs for example) was wondering if that kind of thing would be a decent replacement?

yeah that happenned to my old 07 a3 but was stolen so i never got round to replacing it lol i think you can buy new piller theres carbon fiber ones on ebay so i wreckon audi will sell em to not sure how much just phone parts up ????

Happened to mine!!

Audi replaced under warrenty

There only cheap i think anyway.... Needs two rivets drilling out to remove
