The drivers seat on my a3 3dr is much stiffer in sliding than the passenger side. With the passenger one I can move it with minimal effort, but the drivers requires a hell of a shove (seems to get stiffer the further back it goes). It's just had a service & the mechanics greased the rails again but it has made little difference. I'm guessing a rail may be slightly bent perhaps ?
Also when using the quick release pull at the top sometimes the bar below that unlifts the seat from the runners slips out of place (hope this makes sense) & the seat gets locked. I have to pump the seat up & stick my hand in to put the bars the right way round in order for it to slide again.
Has anyone suffered a similar problem & managed to fix it ? Is it possible to get new rails/runners for the seat ?
