New wheels, yes another set!

After having the Mercedes Segin wheels painted and looking brand new, and having new rubber put on them, they looked just too small and didnt cut the mustard to be a big playa at the 2009 shows. So, without even travelling a single yard on them, I sold them, and bought these:

9x19" ET41 Genuine Bentley Continental GT wheels.

Managed to get some mint used caps and badges for a steal:

Trial fitted on the A3:

Then me and Nathan (N8KOW) had a play with them. We masked part of the rims up, and sprayed 1 wheel with some cheapo grey spray paint from halfords just as a mock up before I decided what colour route to go down. I was very happy with the colour match, Citroen Metoer Grey!!!

Wheels will be split as they are 2 peice, fully re-furbed, the lips mirror polished, the faces painted Audi Dolphin Grey, and the studs kept stainless. Going to fit 225/35-19 FK452's to fill the arches. My coilovers are wound right down but dont go very low.

although i do like the 2 tone alloys i think it takes away some of the OEM look that should go with the bentley rims otherwise they'l look like cheap replica's. thats my opinion, on the whole i think they look stunning.!

people can make their own mind up about them being replicas (not that you can get Bentley reps), painting them grey makes it more custom, and people can think any rim is a replica, when it may or may not be. dont really care if a person thinks they are reps or not, i know they are not, and thats all that matter, aswell as them looking good of course!

Dont mean to **** on your firework Mikey but tbh the paint job was a mistake, just ruined the look tbh, sorry but I'd hazard a guess you posted on here for opinions even if its not what you wanted to hear fella, not liking the paint job, they looked better from 1st post, as with the RS6 style which for me are still the best all round wheel for the 8P, they suit, fit & just look so much better than anyother wheels including mine which I'm probably changing for the RS6 ones & hope you do at least lose the B as thats just making it worse, Bentley wheels on an A3, uh noooo

you havent ****** on anything, nobody ever will no matter what they say good or bad, I like it, so thats all that matters. I dont do mods to please anyone else but myself.....but thanks for your valued input.

For what it's worth, I'll add my 2p!

Think the colour coding looks fantastic, but would agree with changing centre caps for something Audi-related.

I look forward to seeing them on the car for real.

Its a euro modding thing that some people dont understand. Lot of dubbers put porker rims on their dubs, same again with merc rims, even lambo wheels. Why....coz you can!! Simple. Its a bentley wheel, so keepin it bentley, not wanting to badge a wheel up as if its been made by audi when it wasnt. Ultimate baller status! It just would not work the same by putting an Audi badge on them. Those who dont agree just dont get it, in the same league as those people who moan and say "why do you have to have your car that low?"

Saf lets do it, they sit so right with a few tweaks to them. They'll be fine even with the big power plans.

Im thinking 235/35 semi slicks to match these wheels without any compromise to the handling. Stretch tyres can kill!!

put a narrow tyre on a wide wheel. ie a 215 or 225 on a 9" wide rim will be strecthed across.

................No actually forget that, who you trying to kid? Once those wheels are on then people will easily confuse it with a Continental GT, it will look identical! and then you might get accused of being a "pretender" and trying to be something your not!
