Had a brief chat with dealer. Our order in July was a 'spec change' order already in the system due to be produced week 40. Now BE delayed to week 7 2011 (+ 3/4 weeks delivery) it will arrive amid March. 8 Months after the order. He also reckons as it was a Spec change and BE delays were known Audi are unlikely to cough up. Who is taking the piss. 8 months for delivery £1400 more than quoted.. I am well hacked off. Watch this space.

Like those wheels and the colour of the roof! How many pipes has it? What motor?

you and your pipes! its a 140 so single, i looked at all the stock and all had just single pipes. no telling what was a 170 or 140 though so no help. at the risk of abuse i asked the dealer who said 170's are single pipes but i will await proof.

Ibis is the right colour, bet you can't wait! Got any interior snaps?

Good news - A3 ordered 23rd May 2010 - have just had confirmation through that car will be at dealership next week for collection. When order was placed - expected delivery date was 1.9.10 - so only a couple of weeks late. Had been told build date was week 34, so all in all not too bad.

I think the 170's have twin pipes so obviously none at your dealer... ;-) Cheers

Not sure about Ibis yet, we have a Phantom Black Touch up so sticking with it..... ;-)

Hello all, newb on here but had to chip in.... I ordered my A3 Sportback 140tdi BE company car on Monday. Speaking to a local dealer last friday I was advised build date would be wk7, 2011 with delivery being in early March (yay!). However, I'm a little worried now after having read this thread.... Especially as my current c/car expires 3 Feb 2011.... oh well, we'll see...

I ordered mine on the 5th August and was told April 2011, how come you ordered your last week and was told March? well hopefully mine will be brought forward a little. only can hope.

ummm...... Unless Audi are starting to catch up with outstanding orders now Ph2BE production is now in full swing? If not my c/car supplier is gunna be PI$$ED!

on a side note my spec is similar to yours Except the leather and open sky - does Engine Designation deletion take off the 4 rings too as there are none fitted here;

No you have the choice to remove either the A3 or the TDI badges or both if you want but not the rings.

I was told that the delay with mine was the S-Tronic transmission.

They had left the white protective vinyl over my rear rings thats why you cant see them lol.

Yesterday?! By the sounds of things, to get one for march you will need to order v soon, and hope you get lucky.

I've now got a delivery date. The car will be delivered to work on 1st October! 3 weeks tomorrow

Ordered my lowering kit today. should have the standard car for about a week lol..

Absolutely asap, when i saw the dealer yesterday they had had Audi UK main supplier in that afternoon and based on trends were predicting 9 month leads on A3 and TT's. Even hinted that the new model would be put back into late 2012 as to not spoil the popularity and allow them to launch the new A6 for 2011.

They come off real easy, hair dryer for 30 seconds then take some dental floss to it in a hacksaw motion and then just get some glue away and polish. JD.

I posted on the detailing area looking for initial advice on an out of the box car for what you should do to protect it...

The advice was to use a citrus rinse, a good wash product and then a good coat of collonite.

What was your plans?

Did I say I was officially jealous! 22nd Oct seems so far away!!

Thanks guys, i am very happy with it, just need to put some of my own touches on it now to make it a tad more individual.

love the rear end, looks so wide and squat cant wait to get it lowered. Drives really well, well enough to hold off on the remap i think just so i have a good feel for it before the change.

One regret is the lack of the RNSE, makes the interface so much better.

My life! car is only 3 days old and i needed to get a new tyre. went out this morning to a completely flat wheel, initial thought was of foul play but after we took the tyre off it had to be a picked up bit of metal. huge thing as fat as your thumb.

£177 later for a new tyre and its back to normal. what a crapy morning though :-(

That's a pisser mate.

Washed mine for the first time yesterday, just over a week/600 miles and it was filthy!!

After trying a few things i like this:-



Works well on the body and plastics of the car and leaves no after marks at all. it get my thumbs up. the shampoo is good too.

In fact im going to give her another coat now while its sunny, need to get that wheel glue off my rim anyway.

Thats a nightmare, nothing worse! Since having my car looked valued for part ex. I've had to change to tyres, only put budgets on though so got them for £60. I did replace a Bridgestone though and got it for £120 which is brilliant, luckily my mate has his own garage so I had it for trade price, put a big smile on my face as Kwik Fit quoted me £180 for the same tyre, they are nothing other than a rip off!

If you have a Costco near you then join them as Michelin PS3's are £136 each and Continentals CS3's are £129 each.

Really wont be going to Kwick fit again, had no choice though as its a sunday.
